Why This Site Exists
Florida treats most jail and inmate information as public. The hard part is not access. It is knowing which system holds the person. The county sheriff runs the local jail roster for people who were arrested and are waiting for court or serving short county time. The Florida Department of Corrections runs a separate locator for sentenced state prisoners. Federal and immigration detainees show up in still other systems. We gather those rosters, locators, contact numbers, visitation notes, and request steps so the right path is easy to find on the first try.
